Back-to-back posts!
Thanks to miharusshi from Anime Vios for bringing us back from the realm of the dead
(I blame F/GO) xD
So this one here’s for the Real Neat Blog Award. And it really isn’t all that different from most blog awards that get passed around every now and again. But for specifics, here are some rules that go along with it:
- Put the award logo on your blog
- Answer the 7 questions asked by the person who nominated you
- Thank the person who nominated you, link to their blogs
- Nominate any number of bloggers you like, link to their blogs
- Let them know you nominated them
- Ask the bloggers 7 new questions
However, in the true nature of creative expression, these aren’t so much rules as they are just guidelines in how to conduct this chain. If you’ve seen me do blog chains like this then you already know how I roll but if you haven’t, then yeah, I’ll be breaking some rules by not nominating people (but feel free to join in and drop some answers at the comments section!), and not making my own set of questions.
Welp, now that’s done, here’re my answers —
1. What motivated you to start blogging?
Honestly it was because I wanted to hear what other people thought of what I thought about anime shows and anime in general.
I like to tell the story of how the idea behind this blog stems from a personal diary of sorts that I kept, where I logged most of what happened during the day. Evidently I found myself writing more and more about currently airing anime until I decided to just try my hand at ani-blogging, since that was all I ever wrote about. xD
2. If you were a ‘Pokemon’ gym leader – what ‘Pokemon’ type would you specialize in and why?
Dark. For a number of reasons: (1) A couple of Pokemon that I like using in competitive play are of that typing (Bisharp, Weavile, Crawdaunt, to name a few); (2) It has one of the best moves in the game today (Knock-Off); (3) And if memory serves me right, there hasn’t been a Dark-type gym leader in all iterations of Pokemon.
3. Have you ever been to a professional sports game?
I don’t think so, but the closest that I can think of when I hear ‘professional’ would be when me and my older brother watched a professional wrestling event (WWE Raw Live Tour Manila 2006). It’s been a helluva long time since then, but RVD’s Five Star Frogsplash back then remains as glorious in my memories as ever.
Would’ve loved to have seen UFC Fight Night Manila, but I didn’t really care for the main card guys except for the main event (Edgar v Faber).
4. What series/feature do you think is over-hyped?
A lot of people will definitely disagree with me, but yeah, I think 5 centimeters per second is a bit over-hyped. Not that I think that it’s bad or anything – quite the opposite, it’s a really good feature. Most people would say it’s one of, if not the best romance anime they’ve seen. I just don’t agree that 5 cm/s can be called a romance, or at the very least, I think it shouldn’t be the most prominent theme that people see.
5. What series do you think deserves more attention?
Since I made a post about it a while back, Yuuki Yuuna is a Hero, just ’cause I think it flew under everyone’s radar just because it was just another mahou shoujo.
6. What series would you never watch or read again unless you were paid to?
I really don’t want to read Oyasumi Punpun ever again.
Again, not saying it’s bad, but Punpun took me to an emotionally dark place for some time, and I think those kind of stories should only be experienced once.
7. Have you ever listened to Vocaloid music, and do you consider yourself a fan?
I have, yes. 😀
Whether I’m a fan.. I guess it depends. Most of the Vocaloid stuff that I listen to now aren’t ‘officially’ from Vocaloid(?), like this one (insert shameles rec here).

Aaand there you have it.
Again, feel free to answer the questions you find interesting down at the comments section.
‘Till next post~
“me and my older brother watched a professional wrestling event (WWE Raw Live Tour Manila 2006).”
AWWWW MAAANIIILAAA, DON’T YOU DAAAREE BE SOWAAH, CLAP FOR YOUR TWO TIME TAG CHAMPS, AND FEEEEEL DAAA POOOOWAAAAAAHHHH
(…sorry, couldn’t help it. Not sure if you even get the reference, lol)
As for Oyasumi Punpun, I think I saw this in a psychological horror suggestion thread once, lol. Darkness, yay.
I haven’t been watching much WWE so I can’t be 100% sure, but my brother still does so I get to see some of the guys cutting promos every now and again, so if I had to guess.. The New Day? xD
Oh man, Punpun.. A roller-coaster ride to the darkest depths of humanity..
A fantastic read though! 😀 Definitely deserves that number 4 spot on MAL
