Eighth episode as well as the start(?) of the Tsukihi arc, which doesn’t really come across as a story arc as much based on how Koyomi introduced it. We only get a small idea about it from Koyomi’s introduction saying that Tsukihi was immortal. Which makes sense given that the name of this arc is Tsukihi Phoenix. Phoenix’ are basically immortal based on the myths (or the most that I know of their myth) that when they reach the point of “dying” they burst into flames before being reborn in their own ashes.
Let’s hope that doesn’t happen to our resident yandere-imouto.
The whole episode was more of a breather really so I don’t have that much to talk about, besides Koyomi and Karen’s provocative interactions. For some reason Karen wore some girly clothes that she “borrowed” from Tsukihi, before taking the aggressive approach on Koyomi (it’s official I guess, he does get all the girls)
Koyomi is reminded of Kanbaru by Karen’s actions. I thought the red scarf was already a hint for that though, as well as the color scheme of Karen’s clothes. Karen says she wants to meet Kanbaru, but Koyomi, knowing of Kanbaru’s sexual tendencies goes against it.
Which leads us to the insane bout of toothbrushing. The “game” was that if Karen could last five minutes while having Koyomi brush her teeth, he’d introduce her to Kanbaru. Likewise, if Karen gives up before her five minutes are up, Koyomi wins and he won’t introduce her to Kanbaru.
Things get weirdly sensual from there. According to Koyomi, this was one of Kanbaru’s ideas – the sensation of pleasure gained from having the insides of your mouth touched by tens of hundreds of tiny fibers (it sounds so wrong even if I try to tone it down)
Before things began to take a turn for to the extreme, Tsukihi enters the room. The two try to weasel out of it, but Tsukihi leaves in comedic fashion to buy an awl. Punishment is coming I guess, lol.
The last scene has Karen proposing a two-out-of-three, and, well, go with your imagination.
Let’s hope there’s more story in the next episode, and more Tsukihi. It’s her turn now :3

This is the funniest episode that I had ever seen in the history of both Bakemo + Nisemo. I LOL’d so hard when Tsukihi entered the scene. I also wondered, why Karen is so keen to meet Kanbaru and even calls her sensei. It should be fun to see those two.

In a weird way, we all became a bit more interested in oral hygiene I bet ^^
